Is this a good time to sell? The numbers are in!

The December 2018 sales information is in, and there is a lot of opportunities out there for both buyers and sellers!

According to the Barrie and District Association of REALTORS® Inc. (BDAR) the region showed a decline in the number of sales and in the average price of units sold in Simcoe County when compared to December 2017. However, the average price of units sold in Barrie is on the rise when compared to last year and to last month.

Within the City of Barrie, the average price of units sold was up 2.4% from $453,421 in November 2018 to $464,193 in December 2018. Units sold in Barrie total 103 for the month of December 2018 as compared to

167 in November 2018.

This market presents some outstanding opportunity for buyers who are able to negotiate on price and terms when shopping for that perfect home.

It is also a great time to list…with some few homes on the market there is not much completion out there…this will all change when everyone wants to list their home in the spring.
